WHICH KAIN BRAND YOU BE? (WHAT TYPE OF BRAND ARE YOU?)

This post on My brand waka was inspired by two gentlemen that I have known for some time.

OK, I met Mr. A (not real name) over two years ago when I was in between changing accommodation. Needed to get some things fixed in the new apartment and he was appointed unopposed by the almighty ‘agent’ to do the job. Hmm….he did the job, but he never concluded on some though he was paid and it’s almost into my third year in the apartment. Here and there, there are reminders of his half-done tasks. Plus the door locks he bought have given way sef (a story for another day)

Anyway, it turned out that I noticed that one of the pipes connected to our water tank started leaking. Whenever water was pumped, it would all leak out in no time due to the pipes. I needed a plumber and the closest was Mr. A, the Do It All expert. I was in a fix. Left to me, going by his haphazard approach to work, I didn’t want him near me. Anyway, I had no choice and so I ran into him and told him to check the pipe and let me know what the solution would be. You’re asking me if he checked it? Me, I don’t know o. All I know is he never got back to me after promising he will check the pipe and revert. He was even smiling the day I met him.

So the problem remained, well until I told Mr. B, our family mechanic that I needed a plumber as the leaking pipe situation was giving me a headache. He asked me what I needed a plumber for. I showed him the pipe. He said I didn’t need a plumber. Right there, he told me what to do to fix the broken pipe since it wasn’t a major issue per se. Not only that, Mr. B helped to get the gum that he recommended (I gave him money). Before I knew it, he fixed the pipe. The same pipe that had grated my nerves because it wouldn’t let me have water to use at home. Mr. B fixed it for a fraction of what Mr. A would have charged. Yippee! I was so happy. Mr. B solved my problems without hassles or stress. I didn’t even know when he got back with the gum and mended the pipe. You’re asking if the leakage stopped? Of course! And guess what, as I go in and out or even around my apartment, as I turn on my tap and water flows out, my heart keeps blessing Mr. B for solving that problem in the easiest of ways. He didn’t create more problems for me. He didn’t give me hassles. He didn’t collect my money and then refuse to show up like someone I know. He fixed that pipe in the most silent of ways. No inconveniences. So I keep blessing him and I intend to keep it that way.

So my question after this long post which I hope you read is WHAT TYPE OF BRAND ARE YOU? DO YOU CREATE OR SOLVE PROBLEMS FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS? HOW DO YOU SERVE THEM? HOW SEAMLESS IS YOUR SERVICE DELIVERY? MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT DOES THE MEMORY OF YOUR BRAND EVOKE IN THEM? BLESSINGS OR…. (you know what it is).

Before I go, please, should you run into Mr. A, help tell him the pipe has been sorted out, but that the door locks he fixed have given way and is giving me headache (which is his major brand signature) and i’m still expecting him to finish up the window he collected money for before I moved in, even though I am about renewing my rent for the third year. Ha! What a brand!

My people I waka well?
